Home!!!

After almost 30 hours of traveling, we made it home safe and sound late Friday evening. It feels so good to be back!! It was after midnight before the 3 of us finally went to sleep. Michael and I slept most of the day today as well. It's going to take us all several days to get caught up on our sleep and adjust to the time change.

Michael did so well on the flights home. We were really surprised! We were both dreading flying home just because we weren't sure how he'd react. He really didn't get cranky until the last flight. And by then we were all cranky!! Fortunately that was only about a two hour flight. The folks on that plane were glad to see us get off!

Michael seems to be adjusting well to his new home. He's really taking it all in. He has slept in his crib in his room two times now. We put the pack & play in our room last night since he's been sleeping that way the entire trip. But today he went down for a long nap in his crib and he's there now sleeping. When I pointed to the crib and told him it was his bed he pointed and wanted in it. He seems to like it - for now! I hope it stays that way!

While he was awake today, he spent his time exploring parts of the house. We baby proofed a little before we left, but we're going to have to do major baby proofing soon. He's so curious about everything. Who could blame him - everything here is so new to him. I used the microwave this morning to make his breakfast and when it beeped at the end he had the funniest look on his face! Obviously something he'd never seen or heard before.

I really need to get back to getting a few things done - like unpacking - while Michael's asleep. But I would like to tell you all how much we truly appreciate all of your prayers for us during our journey. We definitely felt your love while we were there. And thank you all for the comments you made on the blog. We weren't able to access them in China, so I'm just seeing them and reading them now. We are so blessed to have each and every one of you in our lives. God is so very good! We can't wait for everyone to meet Michael!
